Authors are invited to submit short and extended abstracts. The
Congress Committee will ultimately decide whether a submitted paper
will be selected for an oral or a poster presentation. Oral
presentations will be selected based on scientific merit of the
submitted abstracts. Please make sure to indicate the preferred
presentation type on the abstract submission website. All
contributions will be reviewed before being included in the program.
A CD-ROM of extended abstracts will be made available to all
delegates at the conference. Authors are invited to submit papers
associated with the congress to the journal e-Polymers.
Instructions
for oral presentations
Each lecture hall will be equipped with a
computer (PC, Windows XP with Office XP) and an overhead projector.
The duration of the presentations is limited to:
o
45 min for plenary lectures
without discussion
o
30 min for invited lectures
including discussion
o
20 min for oral presentations
including discussion.
File type: Microsoft PowerPoint. Please do not
use letters smaller than 16 pt.
Please upload your file to the appropriate computer one day before
your presentation. You may check your presentation in the preview
room: Pharos on the 11th floor, Grand Hotel Bernardin. Please
contact the support staff for assistance.
It is preferred that you use the supplied
computer in the lecture hall however you will also be able to
connect your laptop directly to the projector in the lecture rooms.
Please check compatibility before the start of the lecture and have
the presentation ready also in a transferable format (USB key, CD,
etc.). If you have a Macintosh computer, it can be plugged in
through a conventional, 15-pin socket. If your computer does not
have this connection, please have an appropriate adapter/converter
ready.
Instructions
for poster presentations
There will be two poster sessions organized in
the afternoons of Tuesday July 3rd and Thursday July 5th. Posters
will be on display as follows:
No responsibility will be taken for posters not
removed by the times stated.
Please refer to the Final Program for the poster
number assigned to you. The poster board will be marked with the
poster number. To avoid confusion please use the board with the
number assigned to you!
Poster boards are 95 cm wide and 150 cm tall. The
preferred poster form is a single A0 sheet. Alternatively presenters
may present their material on several smaller sheets, however please
observe the maximum poster board size.
Tacks and technical equipment for hanging the posters will be
available in the poster exhibition hall.
The title and author’s names as stated in the
submitted abstract should be placed at the top of the poster. The
text, illustrations, etc. should be of an appropriate size to be
read from a distance of 1,5 meter (4,5 feet).
The presenting authors of posters are kindly
requested to stay at their poster for discussion during the poster
session.
Guidelines for Abstract Preparation
The
length of extended abstracts must not exceed two pages, including
tables, figures and references. The title should be typed in capital
letters. The next ensuing lines should contain the authors of the
paper and their affiliation. The abstract should be typed, single
spaced, using Times New Roman letters of 11 point size, leaving 2.5
cm margins on both edges. Abstracts should be submitted
electronically via the
congress website where detailed submission
guidelines as well as a
template for extended abstracts can be
found. An acknowledgement of receipt of your submission will be sent
by e-mail.
